BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES

Active Vista Center, Inc. is an institution established by DAKILA to support its mission of building the movement of heroism towards social transformation. Active Vista facilitates the learning process of empowering citizens to become agents of social change by providing platforms and developing strategies for public engagement in advocacies towards human rights and democracy.

Active Vista’s Art & Advocacy Workshop is part of its MULAT Youth Civic Education & Engagement Program, designed to build knowledge and skills, foster civic engagement, and nurture transformative leadership through creative and relatable approaches to human rights and democracy education.

The Art & Advocacy Workshop aims to build its young participants’ awareness of the creative ways they can be involved in social change as citizens of Philippine society. Through the workshop, participants can begin to identify their personal advocacies, and be inspired and equipped to take action and participate in social transformation using their talents and interests.
